the Beige Channel is the sound/music project of composer, Michael V. Farley. tBC uses primary sound material from vintage vinyl, poor short-wave reception, found sounds (soundtracks, answering machines, previously recorded material), household sounds, and field recordings. These appropriated materials are manipulated by digital signal processing and combined in compositions, or layered over time in live improvisations.
